Description : “They are only oceans, forests and mountains… but they are magnificent” said Georges Sand when she arrived in 1861, for a holiday in Tamaris. Years later, through the creative genius of Marius Michel Pasha this district of the Seyne was transformed into a seaside resort of the Belle Époque. In 2003 Claudie Haigneré, the appointed minister for Research, inaugurated at the Michel Pasha Institute of Tamaris the ground station of the Antarès program.
